Dan and Sara’s close friends have been a true circle of support and happiness. Dan enjoyed discussions on all subjects with his friends, and also enjoyed traveling, walking, hiking, and in earlier years, biking and tennis. Dan loved his extended family deeply. Though some have passed on, he treasured his sisters and brothers-in-law (Ann and John Caron, Moira Collins and Andrew Griffin, Audrey and Cush Fitzgerald, Mark Fitzgerald, Gail Penn, and Anita Penn) and his nieces and nephews. Dan’s legacy continues in the hearts of his family, to whom he imparted unconditional love and generosity while providing a foundation and atmosphere for growth and opportunity. Dan’s quest for truth and discovery, his appreciation for nature and his love for his family will be carried forward through his wife, his children and his grandchildren. “Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.” Proverbs 17:6 For friends and family who would like to post a memory and/or a picture please go to Dan’s Memorial Website at this address: dan.penn.muchloved.com
